Recrutement for the 2024-25 School Year
We anticipate 250 placements pour Fall 2024.
- 100 student teachers in Stage 1 (8 weeks)
- 35 student teachers in Stage 2 (8 weeks)
- 120 student teachers in Observation Practicums (6 mornings)
Calling all mentor teachers! We're looking for teachers who are passionate and ready to welcome our students in their French Immersion or Francophone classrooms.
We will have 450 placements for the 2024-25 academic year and we're hoping that you'll consider welcoming one of our student teachers into your classroom.
Fall 2024
- In June 2024, we will be announcing over 130 placements for our 8-week practicums. Practicums will be begin in schools on August 27, 2024.
- By the end of September 2024, another 120 placements will be announced for our observation practicums.
We ask that you please check with your school administration prior to filling out a participation form.

Reasons for welcoming a student teacher into your class
We're looking for Practicum Supervisors for the 2024-25 academic year. Please refer to the job description below. We're looking for educators who have previous experience supervising student teachers, have experience working in a variety of contexts and also speak French.

Registration for 2024-25 Field Experiences
Students registering for Field Experiences during the 2024-25 Academic Year must contact their Academic Counselor. There is an important meeting on Wednesday, April 10th for all students wanting to register for stage 1 field experiences for Fall 2024 on Zoom.
- Deadline for Fall 2024 registration is May 3, 2024.
- Deadline for Winter 2025 registration is November 22, 2024

Language Requirements Prior to Stage 1 and 2 Field Experiences
For any questions about language requirements, please contact the École de Langues. Only DELF marks up to March 2024 will be accepted for placement in Fall 2024 practicums, as placements will be announced by mid-June.
