Scholars

The Integrative Health Network Scholars are a very accomplished group of academics and clinicians who represent the full spectrum of disciplinary backgrounds at the University of Alberta. In a broad sense, their expertise can be categorized into thematic areas that include: natural health products/functional foods; traditional/indigenous health; and mind-body therapies (e.g., mindfulness meditation, arts-based therapies). The work of IHN Scholars spans from neonatal challenges to palliative care. Our perspectives range from the sub-cellular to the sociocultural. We span the gamut of academic disciplines with representation from virtually every Faculty. Current studies take us from inner city Edmonton to West Africa to Bangladesh. We are filmmakers, award-winning teachers, clinicians, and bench scientists.
