9.11 Student Concerns and Complaints Policy

The University has adopted a policy to protect the privacy of individuals in the resolution of student concerns and complaints.

The right to privacy is balanced by the parallel obligation to provide to all persons access to documents in which opinions about them are expressed, subject to relevant statutory exceptions to disclosure. The policy is based on the requirements of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act in the management of records.

For more information please see the Student Concerns and Complaints Policy - Records and Privacy, available on the UAPPOL website under "Policies and Procedures".

Further information on the legislation can be found online on Service Alberta's FOIP page.
