Whether it’s time for a regular check-up, you’re not feeling well, or you have questions relating to your health, the physician and nursing staff at the University Health Centre are are here to help. We are committed to providing a wide range of professional, friendly and compassionate medical services to students and staff at the University of Alberta. All of our services are strictly confidential.
Visiting the Health Centre
Most of our services operate on a walk-in basis. When walking in, have your ONEcard and proof of provincial health insurance coverage. Health faculty immunizations, obstetrics and gynecology and nutrition consultations are booked by appointment only. Call to book an appointment.
Who Has Access to the UHC?
- Full time students, including their immediate* family members
- Part time and open studies students, including their immediate* family members
- Academic and non-academic staff
*Immediate family members include your spouse, partner and your children. This does not include parents or siblings.
Services We Offer
Health Faculty Immunizations
Health Sciences student with an upcoming clinical placement? We can help you make sure your immunization requirements are met.
Our nutrition program is designed to aid you make healthy choices. Nutrition consultations are free under the student health plan.
Obstetrics & Gynecology
Our obstetrician gynecologist offers medical care and treatment for issues related to pregnancy and the female reproductive system. This service is only available for students and their partners.
