Unwind Your Mind, a mental health initiative, supports students during the exam season every semester. The program fosters student connection to one another, promotes strategies to de-stress, and brings resources to where students study. Some activities include: fitness classes, healthy snack handouts, wisdom corners, and resource stations.
Launched in 2011, Unwind Your Mind has grown from a single booth in John W. Scott Library to various programs and activities across all U of A Libraries. The Healthy Campus Unit’s student team works with thirty campus partners and many volunteers to make Unwind Your Mind happen.
Unwind Your Mind returns April 7 – 17, 2015.
Have an idea to help students de-stress? The Wellness Project is calling on our campus community to create your own version of an Unwind Your Mind activity or event. We’re looking for creative and innovative ideas to promote positive mental health and help students through the exam season.
More information for the Unwind Your Mind Challenge can be found here.
